ToughOX 1K Epoxy Primer is a grey aerosol epoxy primer used to prepare surfaces before applying ToughOX truck bed liner. It bonds directly to bare metal and contains rust-inhibiting pigments for corrosion protection.
Remove loose rust, abrade with P180 and make sure the surface is clean and dry. Apply 1–2 cross coats from 250 mm, leaving 10 minutes between coats, then overcoat with ToughOX after 30 minutes at 20°C or 8–10 minutes under infrared.
The primer can also be used wet-on-wet and as a welding primer, and comes with two nozzles giving different spray patterns.
