The 922 mat disc uses silicon carbide grain on a knitted fabric bonded to foam, with a synthetic resin bond. Smirdex describes it as durable and giving a uniform matt.
It is intended for wet finishing of car body, e-coat and varnished surfaces, and for delicate wet sanding in automotive and luxury marine work.
